I have had KFB since I was old enough to drive, no isssues.... over the past few months I have noticed that my insurance will go up slightly, no big deal I just paid it! I recently moved to a different city and notified KFB of the move as I added renters insurance to my policy. The other day I sold one of my vehicles and I was told that I owed $357.00! I’m always on time with my insurance every month like clockwork! TC pulled me back into his office with his assistant whom was very helpful and trying to figure the situation out, however he was so rude to her and treated her and myself like total trash! He would say things to her like just shut up and let’s try to figure this out! He pretty much told me that I wasn’t smart enough to understand the numbers! TC then explained because of my move that my monthly premium went up $20.00 however it was not reflected on my bill! TC said that this change occurred 3 months ago. $20.00 times three is $60.00 basic math right!? Apparently not, I offered to pay the $60.00 that I was unaware of and he then told me that I owed $357.00. Further more I then questioned him as to if I was “late” and so far behind on my bill as they said I was..., then why didn’t they terminate my policy with a letter in the mail? TC was shocked and could not answer my question! As my policy was up I threaten to switch to State Farm insurance, he basically said that he didn’t want to help me if that’s what I was going to do. As I sold one of my vehicles I canceled the insurance on the car that day! He asked for a few days to figure this out before I jumped ship with KFB and I allowed him 4 days! No call from TC or any member of KFB! I called and he said that his assistant had not had a chance to look into the situation further! I told TC to forget it and I canceled my policy on everything all together. His response was “well I’m glad you have insurance”. He then slammed the phone with no goodbye or anything! I contacted State Farm and the auto policy was half of what TC had quoted on my new car! The renters was slightly more but not by much! All of the staff at Hartford KFB are very nice and friendly included TC’s son Tyson, but TC it’s time to retire it would greatly benefit your son!
